6 Days Morocco Tour from Casablanca
Embark on an unforgettable 7-day trekking adventure in the High Atlas Mountains, exploring some of the most spectacular landscapes in Morocco. This journey takes you through traditional Berber villages, remote mountain valleys, high passes, and the stunning Lake Ifni, the largest lake in the Atlas Mountains. The trek also offers the opportunity to climb Mount Toubkal (4,167 m), the highest peak in North Africa. Along the way, you will experience authentic Berber culture, breathtaking scenery, and peaceful mountain environments far from the crowds.
Itinerary
- Day 1: Casablanca → Rabat → Chefchaouen
- Day 2: Chefchaouen → Fes
Your journey begins in Casablanca with a visit to the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. You will then travel to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, where you explore the historic Hassan Tower and the picturesque Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Afterward, continue through scenic landscapes to the charming blue city of Chefchaouen, where you will spend the night in a traditional riad.
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning wandering through the peaceful blue streets of Chefchaouen, taking in its unique architecture, artisan shops, and mountain views. You’ll have time to capture photos and soak in the tranquil atmosphere before departing toward Fes. The journey offers beautiful countryside scenery, leading you to one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities, where you will spend the evening and overnight.
- Day 3: Guided Tour of Fes
- Day 4: Fes → Ifrane → Marrakech
Today is dedicated to discovering the cultural and spiritual heart of Fes. With a local guide, explore the ancient medina of Fes el Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its maze-like streets and vibrant souks. Visit the historic Al Quaraouiyine University, the oldest existing university in the world, and observe traditional leather production at the famous Chouara Tannery. The day offers a deep immersion into Moroccan history, craftsmanship, and daily life.
Depart from Fes and head south, stopping in the charming alpine-style town of Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” for its European feel. Continue through the scenic landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing cedar forests and traditional Berber villages along the way. The journey continues toward the vibrant city of Marrakech, where you will arrive in the evening for an overnight stay.
- Day 5: Marrakech Guided Tour
- Day 6: Marrakech → Casablanca
Explore the highlights of Marrakech with a guided city tour. Visit the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square, filled with street performers, food stalls, and local energy. Discover historical landmarks such as the Koutoubia Mosque and the beautiful Bahia Palace. Wander through the colorful souks and enjoy the unique blend of tradition and modern life that defines the city. Overnight in Marrakech.
On your final day, enjoy some free time in Marrakech for last-minute shopping or relaxation before departing. You will then travel back to Casablanca, where your 6-day Moroccan adventure comes to an end with a transfer to your hotel or the airport.
