12 Days Morocco Grand Tour from Casablanca
Experience the ultimate Moroccan journey over 12 days, starting in Casablanca and exploring the country’s most iconic destinations. From the blue charm of Chefchaouen to the cultural depth of Fes, the golden dunes of Merzouga Desert, and the vibrant energy of Marrakech, this tour offers a perfect mix of history, landscapes, and authentic experiences. Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca
- Day 2: Casablanca → Rabat → Chefchaouen
Arrive in Casablanca where you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, you may visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, beautifully set on the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a relaxed evening and overnight stay.
After breakfast, travel to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, where you will explore the historic Hassan Tower and the charming Kasbah of the Udayas. Continue through the Rif Mountains to reach the blue pearl of Chefchaouen for an overnight stay.
- Day 3: Chefchaouen Exploration
- Day 4: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fes
Enjoy a full day in Chefchaouen exploring its peaceful blue streets, hidden alleys, and local artisan shops. Take in panoramic views over the Rif Mountains and immerse yourself in the relaxed atmosphere of this unique town.
Depart Chefchaouen and visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, where you will see monumental gates and historical sites. Then head to Fes for an overnight stay.
- Day 5: Guided Tour of Fes
- Day 6: Fes → Ifrane → Midelt → Merzouga Desert
Discover the rich heritage of Fes with a local guide. Explore the UNESCO-listed medina of Fes el Bali, visit the historic Al Quaraouiyine University, and experience traditional crafts at the Chouara Tannery. This day offers a deep dive into Moroccan culture and history.
Travel south from Fes, stopping in Ifrane and passing through the Middle Atlas Mountains and cedar forests. Continue toward the Sahara and arrive at Merzouga Desert, where you will enjoy a camel trek across the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp under the stars.
- Day 7: Merzouga Desert Experience
- Day 8: Merzouga → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley
Spend a full day in the Merzouga Desert exploring the surrounding areas. Visit nomadic families, discover desert villages, and enjoy activities such as sandboarding or 4x4 excursions. End the day with traditional music around the campfire.
After sunrise in the desert, travel toward the spectacular Todra Gorges, known for its towering canyon walls. Continue to the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its unique rock formations and beautiful landscapes.
- Day 9: Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech
- Day 10: Marrakech Guided Tour
Journey through the Valley of Roses to Ouarzazate and visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass before arriving in Marrakech.
Explore Marrakech with a guided tour, visiting the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the Bahia Palace. Wander through the vibrant souks and gardens.
- Day 11: Marrakech → Essaouira
- Day 12: Essaouira → Casablanca (Departure)
Travel to the coastal city of Essaouira, known for its relaxed atmosphere and Atlantic views. Explore the historic medina, fishing port, and sandy beaches. Enjoy fresh seafood and the artistic vibe of this charming seaside town.
After breakfast, return to Casablanca, enjoying scenic coastal views along the way. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport or your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable 12-day Moroccan adventure.
