6 Days Atlas Mountains Trek: Azaden – Imlil – T-kent
This 6-day trek offers a full immersion in the stunning landscapes and traditional Berber culture of the High Atlas Mountains. Starting from Azaden, you will hike through terraced valleys, rivers, and remote villages, passing through Imlil and finishing in the village of T-kent. Along the way, enjoy panoramic mountain views, authentic Berber hospitality, and optional cultural experiences with local families. Ideal for trekkers wanting a deeper, more relaxed exploration of the Atlas Mountains.
Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival in Azaden → First Village Trek
- Day 2: Azaden → Village in the Valley
Arrive in Azaden and meet your trekking guide. Begin a gentle hike through olive groves, terraced fields, and small Berber villages. Along the way, stop to meet locals and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Overnight in a mountain guesthouse or lodge near your first trekking point.
Continue trekking deeper into the valley from Azaden, following traditional trails along rivers and past small villages. Stop for lunch with a Berber family or picnic with mountain views. In the afternoon, explore local paths, learn about village life, and reach a mountain lodge for overnight accommodation.
- Day 3: Valley → Imlil
- Day 4: Imlil → Mid-Mountain Trek
Hike from your valley lodge toward Imlil. Pass through scenic mountain paths, rivers, and terraced farmlands. Visit local markets and interact with villagers along the way. Overnight in a guesthouse or lodge in Imlil.
After breakfast, trek from Imlil to higher trails, enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. Stop for photos and short breaks in small villages, experiencing Berber culture firsthand. Overnight in a lodge along the trail before continuing toward T-kent.
- Day 5: Trek → T-kent
- Day 6: T-kent → Descent & Return to Marrakech
Continue trekking toward T-kent, passing through remote trails, scenic viewpoints, and small Berber communities. Experience local hospitality and enjoy mountain scenery. Overnight in T-kent in a guesthouse or traditional lodge.
After breakfast, descend from T-kent through the valleys and mountain trails to the main road. Transfer by vehicle back to Marrakech, enjoying the last panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. End of trek.
