4 Days Mount Toubkal Trek
Experience an unforgettable adventure in the High Atlas Mountains with a 4-day trek to Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa at 4,167 meters. This journey takes you through stunning mountain landscapes, traditional Berber villages, and beautiful valleys. The trek offers the perfect combination of adventure, culture, and breathtaking scenery. With the support of experienced local guides and muleteers, you will explore the heart of the Atlas Mountains and enjoy a rewarding summit experience with spectacular panoramic views.
Itinerary
- Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Toubkal Refuge
- Day 2: Toubkal Refuge – Mount Toubkal Summit – Refuge
Your adventure begins with a morning transfer from Marrakech to the mountain village of Imlil (about 1.5 hours). After meeting your trekking team and mules, the hike starts through beautiful valleys and Berber villages such as Aremd. The trail gradually climbs through scenic mountain landscapes toward the Toubkal National Park. You will stop for lunch along the way before continuing the ascent to the Toubkal Refuge (around 3,200 m). After arrival, enjoy dinner and spend the night at the mountain refuge while preparing for the summit climb the next day.
Early in the morning, you will begin the climb to the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m), the highest peak in North Africa. The trail is challenging but rewarding, offering spectacular views of the Atlas Mountains as the sun rises. Once at the summit, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After taking photos and resting at the top, descend back to the refuge for lunch, relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
- Day 3: Toubkal Refuge – Azzaden Valley
- Day 4: Azzaden Valley – Imlil – Marrakech
After breakfast, begin your descent through beautiful mountain landscapes toward the stunning Azzaden Valley. The route passes high mountain passes, traditional Berber villages, and scenic valleys filled with terraced fields and walnut trees. This day offers a more relaxed trek with incredible views and opportunities to experience local Berber life. Dinner and overnight stay will be in a traditional guesthouse in the valley.
On the final day, enjoy breakfast before continuing the trek through picturesque villages and green valleys back toward Imlil. Once in Imlil, your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Marrakech. The journey ends in the afternoon with drop-off at your hotel or riad, marking the end of an unforgettable Atlas Mountains trekking experience.
